Richard (Dick) Medved, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend went peacefully with family by his side, to be with our Lord on May 22, 2022. Born on January 26, 1951 in Toas NM to Ezekiel and Sophia Torres. Nancy was the third sibling of 4, the only girl with 3 brothers, Herman, Mike, and Leroy. But she grew up knowing her Uncle Jake and Aunt Josie as a brother and sister as well. Cheryl, or Sherry, as known by friends and family, was born in Joliet, IL to Betty (Sukle) and Edward Lakotich. She was one of three children to this union, with a brother Gary, and a sister Joy Lakotich. Joy remembers her big sister's nurturing care and reassurance along with her unconditional love with deep sadness. Stephen Edward Pagel aka Sparky passed away in his home early in the morning on May 18th, 2022 at the age of 75. He fought the devastating diagnosis of pancreatic cancer & was named a Rock Star patient at MD Anderson. Matthew (Matt) David Slowey passed away peacefully at home on June 8, 2022 at the age of 71. Matthew was born February 15, 1951. He was a long time resident of Milton /Janesville, Wisconsin. Philip Judd Carlson (83), of Scottsdale, AZ, passed away on May 23rd, 2022. Born on April 21, 1939 in Aurora, Nebraska, Judd graduated from Northwestern University in 1961 with a degree in Radio and Television Broadcasting. Marlene Kramer of Apache Junction, AZ died on May 30, 2022 at the age of 90. Marlene Kramer was born on October 17, 1931 in St. Louis, MO. She obtained her BSN from St. Louis University, her MSN from Case Western Reserve University and her PhD from Stanford University. After her graduation from Stanford, Marlene continued her work researching nursing students transition from school to work. In 1974 she published her seminal work “Reality Shock: Why nurses’ Leave Nursing”.
