In Loving Memory of Pauline A. McKnight
March 22, 1985 – September 25, 2025
Pauline A. McKnight was born on March 22, 1985, in San Diego, California. She was the youngest of three children and the heart of her family. Born to her loving mother Geraldine McKnight and father Oliver McKnight, Pauline was adored by her two older brothers, Roderick McKnight and Gerald McKnight. She truly was the baby of the family and brought so much light into their lives.
Even as a little girl, Pauline showed independence and determination. At just five years old, she would proudly walk to Thrifty’s for a bowl of ice cream—fearless and full of spirit. Her cousins affectionately nicknamed her “Nuddy,” and they always made sure she was safe. Pauline was bright, brave, and kind, with a heart that made everyone feel welcome.
She spent most of her life in sunny San Diego, where she raised her three children: Tayari, Adrian, and Alaysia. Pauline was a devoted mother who gave everything to her kids. She loved being at home with them and worked as a caregiver—a role that perfectly fit her natural compassion. Pauline cared deeply for others and found purpose in helping people every day.
In 2015, Pauline moved to Arizona, where she remained with her loving partner David and their children. Her mother later joined them, bringing the family even closer together. Pauline enjoyed movie nights, walks by the lake, backyard barbecues, and creating her favorite smoothie recipes. She loved nature and embraced life’s simple joys. Her strength and determination in fighting cancer inspired everyone around her.
Her smile could light up a room, and her strength inspired everyone she met. Pauline faced life with courage and grace, including her brave battle with cancer. She fought breast cancer twice and continued to stay strong even when it spread to her brain. On September 25, 2025, surrounded by love, she was called home.
Pauline leaves behind her three beautiful children, her loving partner David, her devoted mother Geraldine, her brothers, and many family members and friends who loved her deeply.
She loved music and had a beautiful voice that she shared every chance she got. Her laughter, energy, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched. Pauline’s life was one of strength, love, and resilience. Though she is gone from our sight, she will never be gone from our hearts.
