Our family is heartbroken to announce the passing of our loving mother, Ruth Anne Frazee, 80, of Mesa, Arizona. She passed away Monday, July 13, 2026, in Queen Creek, Arizona, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Ruth was born November 19, 1945, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Frederick & Evelyn English. She married Ronald Brent Johnson on November 28, 1963. They raised four wonderful children together: Trudy, Tammy, Ryan, and Tina. During those years, Ruth worked alongside her husband owning and managing several grocery stores.
Later in life, Ruth married Robert Dale Frazee, and they relocated the family to Arizona. Ruth worked as an Office Manager for Dickson Insurance, where the Gustafson family became like her own.
Ruth brought joy, fun, and laughter everywhere she went with her great sense of humor. She had a deep passion for cooking and baking. She cherished her wonderful friends, who were a blessing throughout her life. A woman of unwavering faith, Ruth loved teaching children at church and served diligently in many callings for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held a special place in her heart for her time serving the Young Women.
She had a deep, boundless love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was well-loved and a friend to all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Evelyn English; her husband, Robert Dale Frazee; her former husband, Ronald Brent Johnson; her daughter, Trudy Utley; her brothers, Fred English and Steven English; and her sister, Susan Cahoon.
She leaves behind a beautiful, lasting legacy of love. Ruth is survived by her sister, Sharon Stevens; and her brothers, Jim, Paul, and Richard English. Her children, Tammy Johnson, Ryan (Jennifer) Johnson, and Tina Thorpe; She is also survived by her 12 cherished grandchildren: Brianne (Justin) Denney, Taylor and, Haili Mineer; Brent, Mike, Tye and Ashley Johnson; Hayden and Chase Pruiett; Hunter, Hudson and Hurley Thorpe; 2 great-grandchildren
Service Details:
A graveside service will be held at San Tan Memorial Gardens (22425 E. Cloud Rd, Queen Creek, AZ 85142) on Friday, July 24, 2026, at promptly 10:00 am.
Following the graveside service, a Celebration of Life will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meetinghouse (33794 N Gary Rd, Queen Creek, AZ 85142).
