David E. Miller
January 7, 1947 to November 1, 2026

David E. Miller, 79, went home to be with the Lord on November 1, 2026. He was born on January 7, 1947, to Charles Sr. and Sarah Miller. He passed peacefully in his sleep from natural causes with his wife by his side.

Dave loved the Lord, and his faith guided the way he lived and the way he loved the people around him. Dave was loyal to the core. He stood by the people he loved, no matter what, and he was a wonderful listener who made everyone feel truly heard. When life got hard, he was resilient, facing every challenge with quiet strength and steady faith.

Anyone who knew Dave knew his world revolved around softball. He spent many years as a pitching coach, sharing his love of the game with player after player. He coached his own children too, and he never missed a practice or a game. As much as he loved watching his kids on the field, his love for his grandchildren was even greater. Nothing made him prouder than being their biggest fan.

Dave was also one of the funniest people you could ever meet. He always had a joke ready, and he could make anyone laugh. His family and friends will carry that laughter with them always.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Patty Miller; his daughter, Dawn Patterson (Brent); his son, Mark Miller (Tricia); his grandchildren, Shelby, Sara, Richie, and Selah; his sisters, Becky and Sally; his brother, Charles; his sister in law, Becky; and his nieces, Lindsay and Jamie, and their children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sr. and Sally Miller, and his siblings Michael, Ted, Chris, and Amy. And His in-laws - Robert and Dorothy Sheilder and sister in law Pam.
