Victor G. Poulson

Victor G. Poulson was born on March 8th, 1942 to Leona Bessie Maze & Wilford LaMar Poulson in Southgate, CA. Victor graduated from Burbank High School in 1960 and served a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints from 1961 to 1963 in Montana. Victor spotted his wife in the church choir during his mission homecoming services, and they were married in the Los Angeles LDS Temple on May 16, 1964. Victor was drafted into the US Army and served in the Dental Unit from March 16, 1966 to March 15, 1968. Shortly after returning home from Fort Benning, Georgia during the Vietnam war, he opened a dental laboratory which he operated for over thirty years, alongside a custom jewelry business in Burbank, California. There they started their family and raised three daughters. Victor and his wife relocated to Mesa, Arizona in 1999.

Some of his favorite things included date nights with his wife going out to dinner and the movies, attending every activity his children and grandchildren were involved in, and fishing any chance he could get. Victor was a devoted life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and serving as a Boy Scout leader with some of his dearest friends.

Victor is preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Jean Jacobsen, his father, Wilford LaMar Poulson, his mother, Leona Bessie Maze, and brothers, LaMar Poulson and Douglas Poulson. He is survived by his daughters Victoria Poulson, Lisa (Daniel) Schwalger and Julie (Brian) Standlee, as well as his grandchildren, Tess Elizabeth Schwalger, Lauren Jean Schwalger, Tyler Ryan Standlee, Emma Marie Standlee, Michael Joseph Standlee and Bridget Taylor Standlee.

Victor passed peacefully in his home on Sunday, July 26, 2026 where was surrounded in love by his immediate family.
