Richard West Alleman passed away on September 25, 2025, in Mesa, Arizona after an unexpected struggle with metastatic melanoma. He lived his life with goals and loved his family deeply. He was a master electrician and loved to follow through on any projects that needed his assistance.
Richard was the eldest boy of six children. Born in Inglewood, California, on May 11, 1971, he grew up in Los Angeles, Riverside and Orange Counties. He excelled in academics and did well in soccer and baseball, performing on successful teams throughout his formative years. He worked steadily at a local pizza parlor near his high school with the intent of saving to buy a truck which he achieved. He began architectural courses in college and realized the electrical trade was more his style and became a tradesman with honors.
He had two beautiful children, Ashley and Ian, whom he loved dearly. He loved spending time with his son, exploring the Tucson caves, going off roading, kayaking, old school arcades, going to his work parties, trying anything prickly pear, and so much more! He loved his daughter, Ashley, immensely and her four children. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned.
In the electrical industry, he participated in several major projects such as Soka University in Aliso Viejo, and various Disneyland projects including: Fantasmic, California Adventure, ToonTown, Pirates of the Caribbean, and many areas of Main Street, and also a Nike building and various other large, planned buildings. He moved to San Clemente and developed a love for the environment. He was a hard worker and a later move to Arizona brought a new opportunity as an electrician, where he excelled in planning and developing projects. Outside of work, he enjoyed kayaking in the Salt River, fishing, golf, and various activities with his dad, son, brothers, and friends. He also loved supporting his nephews and nieces at their activities.
Richard enjoyed each chance to be involved in a family event. He traveled with family throughout the United Kingdom and, most recently, in Scotland. Family events brought him great happiness, and traveling was something to look forward to each year.
Preceded in death by his brother, Ryan and son-in-law, Ethan Naylor, Richard is survived by his beloved two children, Ashley Naylor, Ian Alleman (Val), four grandchildren: Jaiden Naylor, Eli Naylor, Zaine Naylor, and Savanna Naylor; his parents, Gary and Gillian Alleman, his brother Shaine (Jennifer), sisters Kellie, Kacie, Jessica (Brandon), and fourteen nephews and nieces.
A memorial will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, 400 Linda Lane, San Clemente, CA 92672, a local beach park, at 11:00 a.m. Please email RWAllemanCOL@gmail.com to RSVP and receive additional detail on the memorial. Please consider, in lieu of flowers, a charitable gift to The Melanoma Research Foundation (MRF) in Richard’s name.
