Lynda Marie Barletta
February 10, 1960 – August 14, 2025

Lynda Marie Barletta was born on February 10, 1960, in Arizona to Janet and Hugh Jensen. She grew up as the middle child of three, alongside her siblings Judy and David.
Her first child, Jason, was born in 1978, and shortly after, she began her adventures into the world. She married Delio Barletta, and together they moved to California, where their daughter Jennifer was born. In the mid-1980s, they relocated to Delio’s home state of Michigan and welcomed their third and final child, Anthony. After nearly a decade in Michigan, they returned to Arizona, where Lynda would spend the remainder of her life.
After her return to Arizona and having an empty nest, she surrounded herself with the love of her adopted and rescued dogs. Soon, her eldest two children helped even more by blessing her with four grandchildren each. She loved and adored them deeply, and being a grandmother brought her immeasurable joy. She cherished every moment spent with them.
Lynda lived life to the fullest, embracing both adventure and quiet joys. She enjoyed camping, water and snow skiing, and archery, while also finding peace in painting, reading, writing poems, cooking, and working on puzzles. Her adventurous spirit shone in her love of concerts, ranging from Madonna to Santana to Styx, and in her thrill for roller coasters, always being the first in line for the newest ride at Cedar Point. She was also a passionate sports fan, cheering on her favorite teams both in person and at home.
On top of all of her pursuits, one of the things that gave her the greatest joy in life was helping others. She felt strongly about helping others who needed it, and she loved to help where she could. From babysitting a grandchild to helping friends get through a tough spot, anything she could do to help, she was always willing to be there.
Beyond her hobbies, one of Lynda’s most defining characteristics was her generosity, her heart for others, and her faith in the Lord Jesus. She lived out her faith daily through her love, kindness, and service to others. Her door was always open, her table always had room for one more, and her words always carried encouragement and grace. Whether through big gestures or small acts of kindness, Lynda consistently put others before herself, reminding those around her of Christ’s love through her actions. Lynda’s life truly reflected the hope and compassion she found in Christ.
At age 61, Lynda was diagnosed with stage four renal failure. She fought valiantly for four years, showing incredible strength and resilience. On August 14, 2025, Lynda passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family. She was 65 years old.
Lynda’s unwavering faith gives us the assurance that she is now with her Savior, free from pain and fear. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her fearless love of adventure, and the way she treated friends like family. Her legacy of love, generosity, and strength lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, Lynda has requested donations to The Arizona Humane Society or The National Breast Cancer Foundation
