James L. Hammer

Born in Marshalltown Iowa May 29, 1954 and was raised in the Globe Miami community where he built a wonderful life with the love of his life Shirley Rose and raised their four boys.

He worked in the local Mines where he retired in 2020 from Pinto valley/ capstone mine. He was a great friend, Brother, uncle, son, father, and Papa/great Papa. He is survived by three of his sons Jim Bob Hammer ( Amy and girls; Hope(baby billy) Stacy, and Jaden), Nicholas Hammer (Trish & kids; Rilee, Gavin, Aubree and mason), Jesse Curl (Michelle & kids; Baby Jess , Damon and Breezy-Brianna) , His mother Annie hammer, his brother Jerry Hammer and sisters Roberta Jones (Slew), Sandra Stevens (Hon), Yvonne Sanson (Don), Jolene Harrington (Felix Flores) and many nieces and nephews and cousins he loved very much! He was preceded in Death by the love of his life Shirley Rose and their son Billy Owen Hayes and his Father Robert Hammer. We will all love and miss him dearly but we are all so happy he is pain free and has reunited with his Shirley Rose!
