With deep love and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Phyllis Ann Setaro, who peacefully went home to be with the Lord on March 10, 2026, with her devoted husband, Paul, by her side.
Phyllis was born on January 3, 1950, in Gardena, California, to Sam and Julie Caruso. She was the proud mother of her son, Mack Rasor III. After moving to the Phoenix area, and later in 2003, she met and then married Paul Setaro, her loving husband of 23 years.
Phyllis and Paul shared a joyful life together, filled with trips to Las Vegas, cruises, Saturday morning movies, and quiet dinners. They were longtime members of the Arizona Italian American Club, where they enjoyed dancing, live music, and community events. Phyllis’s fun-loving and competitive spirit earned her several contest awards over the years.
She found great joy in life’s simple pleasures, entertaining family and friends, hosting holiday gatherings, and decorating her home with care and creativity for every occasion. Known for her warmth and radiant smile, Phyllis truly was sunshine on a cloudy day.
Until being diagnosed with lymphoma in 2024, Phyllis remained active in the Glendale Silver Sneakers exercise group, where she formed many lasting friendships. She also enjoyed playing canasta and was a member of the Welcome Wagon Club.
A dedicated member of her community, Phyllis served for many years on her HOA board. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to those around her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Paul Setaro; her son, Mack Rasor III; her stepdaughter, Danika Setaro; her brother, Tom Caruso; her sister-in-law, Jane Ann Caruso; and many extended family members and friends whose lives were enriched by her love.
Though our hearts ache with her loss, we find comfort in knowing she is at peace, reunited with the Lord she loved so faithfully. She was deeply loved, will be greatly missed, and will forever remain in our hearts.

Phyllis was a one of a kind person always vivacious and loved to entertain with friends and relatives. She will be missed by all who new her. We always had fun with her and Paul.
