In loving memory of William Mark Hooe, 67, of Phoenix, AZ, formerly, Altoona, PA, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Monday, July 7, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents William H. Hooe and Velma E. "Pat" (Sullivan) Hooe, sister, Shelley Lynn Hooe and brother, Scott Hooe. He is survived by his daughters, Aisha Hooe, Carla Hooe, and Jordan Harris, 2 grandsons, Marquis Hooe-Nuno and Kwalee Livers, brother, Drew Hooe, along with many friends.

Mark was a Navy veteran who served his country with honor. He had a love for life and enjoyed traveling, fishing, sports and was an exercise enthusiast. Mark embraced the world with energy and curiosity. Whether exploring new destinations or engaging with new and old friends; Mark lived every day to the fullest.

Wherever he went, he found joy in meeting people, trying new foods, and absorbing cultures with genuine fascination.

His music taste was as vibrant and varied as his life. From classic rock to jazz, world rhythms to indie folk, he found beauty in all genres, often surprising friends and family with the depth of his playlists and his encyclopedic memory for artists and lyrics.

Above all, Mark was a father to three beloved daughters, whose lives he enriched with his strength, wisdom, and unconditional love. He was a steady, guiding presence; always there with support and a listening ear.

Rest in Peace, William Mark Hooe

For 30 years, you were more than a best friend—you were my brother. We traveled the world together, embraced new cultures, and chased life with fearless hearts. You were a true maverick—bold, loyal, and one of a kind.

Your memory lives in every journey we took, and every lesson you left behind.

Rest easy, Mark. The world feels different without you, but your spirit stays with me.
