Ronald Dale Collinsworth

Ronald Dale Collinsworth, 68, of Mesa, Az, passed away on November 25, 2022 in Phoenix, AZ.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Thursday December 1, 2022 at Horizon Funeral Care, 7530 East Main Street in Mesa with the James Robinson, Funeral Celebrant conducting.

Ron was born in Mesa, AZ to Jesse Amos Collinsworth and Norma Jane Collinsworth on July 28, 1954. He attended Westwood High School in Mesa. He married Paula Ilene Moore on November 2, 1972 in Phoenix. He worked as a Telecommunications Specialist/Manager for several telecom companies, lastly WorldCom for 21 years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Era and served in the Air Force and was awarded several service awards and medals, The Air Force Longevity Service Award, The Air Force Good Conduct Medal, The National Defense Service Medal and the NCO Professional Military Education Ribbon. He received an Honorable Discharge. He loved Racing, NASCAR, INDY and Racing games and RC Model Airplanes and Helicopters. He enjoyed watching airshows and was involved in the American RC Model Association. He also enjoyed being with his family and attending family events. He loved Music, he was a fan of his Son-in Laws band. He was handy and could fix just about anything and enjoyed building and restoring cars among other things.

Ron is preceded in death by Karen Ann Collinsworth (sister), Norma Jane Collinsworth (mother), Jesse Amos Collinsworth (father) and Daniel Wade Collinsworth (brother).

Ron is survived by his wife, Paula Ilene Collinsworth, Daughters April Wasdyke and husband Gary Wadyke of Missouri, Thayl Lane and husband Stacy Lane of Oklahoma, Brother Jim Collinsworth and wife Susan, Sisters Nancy Diepstraten and husband Ted, and Gloria Mason and husband Bill, Grandchildren Lexi Piper Lane, Laci Mae Lane, Jonathan Boyer and his wife Katie and their son Lincoln, and Kyle Cates.
