Linda Louise Thompson passed away, May 28th 2025, at her home surrounded by loved ones. Linda was born in Los Angeles, California, August 26,1945 to her mother Martha Olivia Stoker and her father Donald Samuel White Hamilton. She was an only child. Linda grew up in southern California, mostly Covina, CA. As a child she loved to be with her cousins and go to the beach and surf.

Linda and Tony were sealed in the Oakland temple on August 26, 1966 (on her birthday). They moved shortly after that from Provo, Utah to Atascadero, California where they raised their family.

Linda and Tony are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They served a mission together in Kirtland Ohio Historical sites in 2010-2011. They loved their time spent there, teaching and testifying of the Savior.

Linda lived to serve others. As an adult, she worked with the Parent Teacher Association, youth sports, coached some of her kids and served as a Young Women’s leader and in Cub Scouts, Relief Society, Primary as well as Meals on Wheels. She connected most with the youth and was a natural born teacher and nurturer. Linda was a mother and confidante to many, entrusted and relied upon for her wisdom and guidance. Since her passing, many have shared their admiration and love, commenting that she was always there for them, patient and kind, an ally who doted upon them and generously gave her attention and support. As a dedicated and loving caretaker, Linda took her mother and mother-in-law into her home and cared for them. She helped many of her children and grandchildren throughout their lives as well. She always supported her kids and grandkids in their sports and music and very much loved watching them thrive. She loved taking walks around the lake with her family and friends.

She spent 34 years as a realtor in the state of California. This brought her much joy. She was a light to her co-workers and trusted and beloved by all she encountered.

Linda is survived by her husband, Tony Thompson; her four children: Stacy (Dave) Lewis, Tony (Lisa Pierrott) Thompson, Sherry (Trent) Caskey, Tara (Jeremy) Snider ; her grandchildren: Mariah, Jordan, Torin, Bryce, Spencer, Grant, Levi, Quinn, Sadie, Kendra, Janae, Cameryn, Taggart, Jaelyn, Porter, and Addie. Her great grandchildren: Levi, Eliza, Monet, Ezra, McKay, Isla, Todd, Dallon, Felix, Kylan, Korbin, Kynlie, Jewell, Jax, and AJ.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her granddaughter Morgan Nicole Thompson.

Tony and his family would like to thank Indigo Trails Ward and Hospice of the Valley for their tender care and love for Linda and the entire Thompson family.

Funeral services: June 7th at LDS church on 20415 E. Chandler Heights Rd. Queen Creek, AZ.
