Joseph Daniel Papineau

It is with a heavy heart and deep regret to inform you of the recent passing of Joseph Daniel Papineau at age 51, of Mesa, Arizona. Born in Newtonville, Mass. And raised in Berkley, MI.

Our Joe was a man amongst men, unwavering and thoughtful, a friend to all. He had a smile that made you smile. A strong thunderous Laugh that made you laugh with him.

Joe enjoyed being active, for example, a twenty-mile bicycle ride at 113 degrees, as well as being locally known for his exceptional competitive dancing skills and vast eclectic love of music.

He volunteered his time with Homes for Humanity and the local children's home; if a child needed school supplies Joe bought them. If you needed anything he was " ON MY WAY.", and you knew it was going to be ok. You could tell him anything. Share the inappropriate joke at an inappropriate time and he would laugh with you. Some of his lifetime accomplishments include...

National Honors to Berkley High School, Marine Corp: earned/achieved/and was awarded...Navy Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal,

Joint Meritorious Unit Commendation, Combat Action Medal (Somalia),Good Conduct Medal, Letter of Appreciation

Joe, a man of many skills, and an entrepreneur of several successful businesses, however, took the greatest pride/joy in his work at Boeing.

He remained involved and a constant in his nieces' lives. The Uncle Joe stories are just too vast to mention, but so fun and loving.

He was a brother to all, each of us is family through this time of great sorrow for the utmost honorable, loyal big-hearted softy of a man.

Joe is survived by his mother Sarah Papineau, father Gregory Papineau, sisters Margaret ( Andrew ) Strachan, and Catherine Saccone, nieces Marina Ann, Seanna Marie, Laken Olivia, McCoy Baca.
