Gary Dean Gray

Mr. Gary Dean Gray, (60), born July 17, 1962 to the late Paul Frank Gray III and Alice Louise Gray, in Asheville, North Carolina.

Gary graduated from T. C. Roberson High School and immediately enlisted in the USAF, where he achieved notable recognition and honors. His most prestigious achievement was Crew Chief of the F-15 and F-16 Fighter Jets. He finished his last tour at Eglin AFB in Florida. Adjusting to civilian life, Gary began his career with Cox Communications in Las Vegas, NV, serving as one of their Field Operations Manager for 18 years. His ultimate calling came in the form of a CDL, allowing him to drive “Big Rigs” (18 - Wheelers) for Knight Transportation Inc., shortly after becoming one of their OTR Trainers.

Gary had a great passion for fishing, camping, Nascar (Jeff Gordon #24), pepsi, and his beloved dog Dutchess; but above all he loved his wife, Tycee, most. They were united in holy matrimony August 2nd, 1986 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Later they were sealed for all time and eternity in the Las Vegas Temple. Gary’s life was rooted in Faith, Family, and Service. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and loved to be of service not only to his family and members of his Ward, but also to his community as well. Gary loved all of his Children (near and far), Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren and would do everything and anything for each one of them. As a result of Gary’s playful personality, his infectious smile, his loving and kind demeanor, he will forever remain in the hearts and lives of all those who he came in contact with. Gary was surrounded by his family when he peacefully departed this earthly life on May 16, 2023, after a courageous 10 year battle with Throat Cancer in Gilbert, Arizona. Gary is survived by his Wife, Tycee, and his 4 beautiful daughters; Brianna, Shanalee, Lauriann (RJ), and Kaitlynn. He was a very Proud “Papa” of his Grandchildren; Kennady, Tate, and Declan. Gary will be further missed by his Brother-in-laws; Sister-in-laws; Uncles, Aunts, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and a host of many devoted Family members.

Gary was preceded in death by his Father, Mother and Sister Cheryl.

Graveside services will take place at 10:00am, on May 23, 2023 at San Tan Memorial Gardens at Schnepf Farms, 22425 E. Cloud Rd. Queen Creek, AZ.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that any memorial donations or contributions be made to Gary’s Gofundme.com
