Dale Evan Cook


Dale Evan Cook, age 76, passed away peacefully on August 28th, 2023 in Mesa, Arizona. Dale loved singing and teaching others about our Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born in Tacoma, Washington on April 16, 1947, to Carl and Helene (Mildon) Cook. Dale had 3 sisters and 2 brothers. As a young man, Dale served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in France. Dale had a love for the French people and always shared the gospel of Jesus Christ with those around him. After his mission, he served in the US Navy. Dale took great pride in serving his country. After his service, he pursued entrepreneurial endeavors and was passionate about marketing and business. Dale served in many positions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His greatest joy was leading the ward choir. He touched many lives through his love of music and loved being part of the Arizona Mormon Choir. He was quick to servethose around him and loved to make people laugh. He also enjoyed dancing, playing softball, writing, and caring for his wife. Dale is survived by his wife, Linda Cook; siblings Carla Norris, Diana Hebert, and Paul Cook; his children, Jeff (Heather) Cook, Tara (Don) Cluff, Jared (Arleen) Cook, Cory (Mistie) Cook, Ryan (Klara) Cook, Ami (Sean) Bethea, Kyle Cook; and step-children, Traci (Wyatt) Ellsworth, Marlo (Mike) Adams, Sommer Cooley, Whitney (Robert) Gordon; 38 grandchildren with one more on the way; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, sister Benita Harris, brother Wade Cook, and stepson Colter Brown. The family would like to thank Grand Court Assisted Living and Sapphire Hospice for their kindness, love, and support. Car si je fais sa volonté, je vivrai avec lui, Adieu for now dad. Services for Dale will be held on September 22, 2023, at 1 p.m. at the National Memorial Cemetery, Phoenix, AZ.
