Claudia Sue Mason

Claudia Sue Mason left us unexpectedly on Saturday, September 26, 2020 from complications of pneumonia.

Sue was born on June 6, 1947 in Stockbridge Twp., Michigan. She graduated from Jackson High School, in Jackson, Michigan in 1965 with Scholastic Honors.

Sue married the love of her life, Ernest J. Mason on April 26, 1974.

She is survived by her daughter Kim Beatty, of San Tan, AZ, her sister Laurie Faulkner of Jackson, Michigan, her step-daughter Jennifer Daniels, husband Jeff Daniels, and granddaughter, Rebecca Daniels, of Chandler, AZ, her step-sons David and Daniel Mason of Michigan and North Dakota, respectively. In AZ she also leaves behind her nieces, Donna Moore and Jane Rupard, her husband Kenny, nephew Gerald Clement and sister-in-law Jean Clement. There are also several nieces, nephews and cousins spread out over several states.

Sue was an avid Bridge player and leaves behind many friends who will remember here fondly.  She was dearly loved and brought great joy to others. Her death leaves a whole in many hearts. She will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ernie, her parents, Mary Francis and Gerald Ewing of Michigan and brother, John Edward Ewing of Michigan.

Sue did not want a service however, if you would like to make a donation in her honor, she favored St. Jude’s Children Hospital in Memphis or any organization regarding animals, like the Humane Society or ASPCA.

Sue’s remains will be spread in the spring as she requested they be released “from a hill, in the breeze over wild flowers, but no water,” her words to her niece Jane.
