Amanda Tieman Battraw

Amanda Tieman Battraw, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt, peacefully passed away on January 12, 2024.  Though her life was cut short, she touched a lifetime’s worth of hearts. Amanda was born in Mesa, AZ on June 25, 1980 to Paul & Leilene Tieman.  She was the first of six children with four brothers and a sister.

Amanda graduated from Mesa High School, class of 1998.  She then went to Cosmetology School and graduated in 1999.  She then received her CNA in 2000. She married her best friend and love of her life Harry Tilford (Tiff) Battraw in the Mesa Arizona Temple on January 8th, 2000.

Amanda and Tiff have six wonderful kids, Brinn Elise, Jaren Andrew, Elijah Brandt, Mayalynn Grace, Ezra James, Isaac William.  Amanda’s husband and children were her greatest treasures in life, followed closely by her faith, family and friends. Amanda was an amazing cook and baker.  She nurtured her kids with delicious food and an abundance of love.

Amanda was a blessing, a joy, a ray of sunshine and one of the kindest women you could know.  Her smile could put a smile on your face without saying a word.  Amanda was a fighter.  She fought hard without ever complaining, after many years of being very sick.  Amanda was a great mother, wife, sister, aunt, caregiver, and friend. She loved everyone.  Everyone loved her.  She was beautiful, kind, loving, friendly, and compassionate.  She is survived by her husband, children, parents and four siblings.
