Colleen Thornton

Colleen was born on June 27, 1936 and passed away on November 12, 2019 with her husband and family by her side in Mesa, Arizona. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Harold and Betty Wheeler and daughter Diana Harris. Colleen is survived by her husband Bryon Thornton, son Kevin (Renae) Thornton, son-in-law Rod (Loreen) Harris, sisters Pat (Fred) Messerly and Lynda (Clair) Packer, brother Dale (Connie) Wheeler and grandchildren Michelle (Matt) Barnhill, Jacob (Dawn) Harris and Sariah (Jason) Hoffmann and 7 great grandchildren.

Colleen was born in Pocatello, Idaho the oldest child of 4. She graduate from Snake River High School in 1954 in Blackfoot, Idaho. She married her husband Bryon on January 28, 1956 later sealed in the Mesa Arizona Temple. They were married for 63 years. Bryon and Colleen lived in the same home for over 50 years in Tempe, Arizona.

Colleen loved to paint ceramics, she was an avid reader, enjoying crocheting, also gave many years of church service, Primary and Relief Society President, in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. No services will be held, the immediate family will do a Celebration of Life in Colleen’s honor.
