Benjamin Richard Childs

Benjamin Richard Childs, 45, was born October 14, 1972 in Tacoma, Washington. He was the oldest child of six born to Richard and Alyson Childs, who love him dearly. On December 23, 2017 in Mesa, Arizona, we unexpectedly lost Ben when he was tragically and innocently murdered. Ben graduated from Curtis High School in University Place, Washington in 1991. He then attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho. At age 19, he served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Chihuahua, Mexico. Ben had a great smile that he shared with all and would brighten your day, especially when you needed it! He had a magnetic personality and superb negotiation skills. It was only natural that he would earn a living in sales, both management and being self-employed. He spent most of his adult years in the Salt Lake City area in Utah. Ben’s crowning achievement in his life are his three wonderful children, Kassidy ,18, Markas, 15, (mother- Sandra Maliukaite)and Garrett, 10 (mother-Stacey Conover). He was so proud of each of them and loved them dearly. He is also survived by his parents, Richard and Alyson Childs and five siblings -Heather (Matt) Johnson ,Rebecca (Jason)Demaray, Chad Childs, Laura (Jesse) Peay, and Matthew (Becky) Childs. He has many nieces and nephews who love their Uncle Benny, along with extended family and a lifetime of friends. The family has appreciated the kindness and love shown by so many. And we are grateful for those who generously donated to a GoFund Me account to help his children.
