Carol Marie Orr

Carol Marie Orr passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 13th, 2018, in Chandler, Arizona. Carol was born to Dorothy and Peter M. Schaack of Chicago, Illinois, in 1934. She is survived by her sister, Irene Pearson, two sons, David and Daniel Larsen, two daughters in law, Kelly and Beth Larsen, three grandsons, Sean, Kyle, and Nicholas Larsen, grand-daughter in law, Stephanie Larsen, and two step grandsons, Cameron and Andrew Hastings. Carol graduated from Fort Dearborn High School and the Chicago Institute of Art in Chicago, Illinois. She married Charles E. Larsen in 1954 and they together brought two sons, David and Daniel, into the world. Carol and Charles were divorced in 1969 and she later married James B. Orr, taking the name Carol M. Orr for the remainder of her life. Her great passion in life was painting, especially watercolor art. Carol actively created art all of her adult life, taught workshops throughout the U.S. and Canada, juried art shows, and won countless awards. She was a signature member of the American Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Society, Arizona Watercolor Association and Northwest Watercolor Society. Carol was active with a local East Valley watercolor art group until her final days. She enjoyed reading, games, and spending time with family and friends. Quick to smile and giving of her talents and love, she was a beautiful soul and will be missed by all.
