Tracy James Fowler




Tracy James Fowler, 59, passed away Sunday afternoon, September 18, 2022, at the Hospice of the Valley Lund Home in Gilbert, Arizona after a short illness.

Tracy was born on October 4, 1962 in Spokane, Washington to parents, Beverly and Carl Fowler. With his father being a career Air Force officer; in his youth, Tracy was able to experience moving with the family to several domestic and international assignments. This included Rapid City, South Dakota, Taichung Taiwan, and Selma, Alabama. His family moved to Mesa, Arizona when his father retired from the Air Force in 1972.

While still attending school in the 70’s, Tracy moved with the family while his father’s career took them to Austin, Texas; Tehran, Iran; and San Jose, California.

Tracy was bright, did well in school, and was an accomplished athlete. He played high school football and baseball and was on the college tennis team while attending Evergreen Community College in San Jose, California.

He had successful employment periods in sales; including media advertising, electrical equipment, and automotive.

Tracy had a kind spirit; and was genuine and sincere. Though soft spoken, he had a warm sense of humor. He was always courteous and kind to people. Despite the sudden and painful illness that took his life, Tracy was brave, and did not complain. He will be greatly missed.

Family survivors include sister Kathy (Bill) Butts of Gilbert, Arizona; brother Kevin Fowler of Kent, Washington; nephew Austin Butts, Phoenix, Arizona; niece Leslie (Nate) Phillips of Silverthorne, Colorado; and nephew Carson Butts, of Austin, Texas.
