Rosanne Burt Christensen


Rosanne Burt Christensen, born in Salt Lake City, UT on January 6, 1952 to Glenn and Esther Burt, died November 2, 2021 in Queen Creek, AZ after a short fight with cancer. Rosanne was a master artist, specializing in floral design, drawing, and oil paintings. She was always willing to help anybody at anytime and loved making things beautiful. Despite being a master player of Words with Friends, Rosanne was known to have an unique vocabulary and regularly coined words such as “Whoosie-Whatzit, Thingamajig, and Horse Nostril”.


Rosanne grew up in SLC, UT, graduating from Skyline High School. She married her sweetheart, Ray Christensen in the SLC, UT Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Over the years, she worked as a hairstylist, florist, at ASU Hayden library, and in the public schools as a Title One reading specialist, all while being a full-time Mom, Wife and Grandma. Rosanne loved to paint. She sketched and painted her whole life. She studied the techniques of the master painters, and created beautiful masterpieces of her own.


She was preceded in death by her sister Patricia, and her parents Esther and Glenn. She is survived by the love of her life, husband Ray; siblings, Linda, Marilyn, Christine and Bill; children Andrew, Karlie (Jared), Tyler (Michelle) and five grandchildren, Sam, Haylie, Ella, Teagan and Leif.
