Robert Bernard Bielick
Robert B. Bielick of San Tan Valley, AZ passed away surrounded by his loving family on January 14, 2024. He was 87. Bob was born on July 31, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois to Lucius and Josephine (Sommerfeld) Bielick. Bob was the 3rd born of four boys. (Brothers: Denis, Donald, and Ralph).
Bob grew up in the Chicago area and enjoyed playing basketball at Leyden High School. He was also involved in music. Bob served in the US Army Corp and was stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas as a Personnel Specialist from May 1958-May 1960. He received an Honorable Discharge. Bob had various jobs throughout his career which included working at Teletype Corp in Chicago as a Milling Machine Operator and then an Industrial Engineer at FMC Corporation. While in Chicago, Bob met Deloris and married in 1962. They had 2 children and resided in Elk Grove Village, IL for many years. Bob was transferred to Minnesota with FMC Corp in 1981. Bob and Dee grew tired of the cold and snow and fulfilled their dream of moving to Arizona in 1995. Bob worked as an Operations Manager for a company that connected Private Investigators with clients for 13 years in AZ.
Bob and family enjoyed many vacations together at a cabin in Eagle River, WI. Fishing, exploring nature and being outdoors was a family favorite. Bob loved spending time with family and friends. He was often the photographer and videographer at friend and family gatherings, capturing all the fun memories. Bob’s hobbies included golf (scratch golfer), horseshoes, fishing, photography, gardening, computer work, and music. Bob also loved animals and had a few dogs in his lifetime.
Bob is survived by his wife of 61 years, Deloris, his son Ken (MN), daughter Karen (Chris) (WA), brother Denis, 2 grandchildren Nicole and Justin, and great grandchild, Walker.
Bob will be sorely missed and touched the lives of many people.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be planned at a later date.
