Kenneth Lee Brackenbury
Kenneth Lee Brackenbury, Chief Machinist Mate, US Navy (Ret), 93, of Chandler, Arizona, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020.
Ken was born in Alpena, Michigan to Knolton and Dorothy Brackenbury on September 24, 1927. He was married to Donna J. Brackenbury for over 40 years. Ken was a veteran of World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam. He served in the Navy and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal (fifth award), American Defense Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, American Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal, China Service Medal, Japanese Occupation Medal, Korean Service Medal, and United Nations Service Medal. He retired as a supervisor from Salt River Project and from Pipefitters Union.
Ken is survived by his wife Donna, daughter, Yvonne Alsdurf, daughter and son-in-law, Susan and John Fleckenstein, son, Richard Crankshaw, sister Sally Langolf, Grandchildren Terri (Bruce), Jennifer (Matthew), John Paul (Dayana), Eric, Timothy, RikkiLynn, Great-Grandchildren Tyler (Jessi), Theodore, Michaela, Brianna, Christopher, Ryan, Kaitlyn, Jaedyn, Jace, Lennox, Kyler, Owen, Brennan, Liam, Gracie, and many nieces and nephews.
Ken is preceded in death by his mother Dorothy, his father Knolton, his three sisters, Shirley, Millie, Sue, and his four brothers, Jerry, Jack, Terry, and Milton.
Funeral services will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona at 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85024. Arrangements are by, Horizon Funeral Care.
