Ernest "Glen" Ramsey

Ernest "Glen" Ramsey, age 68, passed away peacefully in his home September 30th, 2020 surrounded by his family after a battle with cancer.


Glen is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Vickie, and three children: Jennifer Baker, Kevin Ramsey (Christina) and Aimie Ross (Mike). He also had 13 grandchildren: Mckenzie, Bailey (Brett), Madelynn, Mason, Kaycie, Blake, Camryn, Avalyn, Cooper, Hayden, Harrison, Evie and Zoey.


Glen grew up in Mesa, Arizona attending Mesa High School.  As a teen, Glen enlisted and served honorably in the United States Army, and is a Veteran of the Vietnam War. For his service, he received numerous awards including the Purple Heart.  He finished his military career, retiring as a 1st Sergeant in the Arizona Army National Guard.  Glen was very proud of his work in military aviation, and once retired would always say as he pulled out his military ID card, “it only took me 28 years to earn this.” 


Glen's family was 1st and foremost in his heart. There was not a game, concert or event for his children or grandchildren he did not attend. He always ended conversations with "I love you", leaving no doubt how important and loved his family was.


Services for Glen will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at: 9431 E Point twenty two Mesa, Az 85212. Viewing will start at 9:00 am followed by service at 10:00 am.


In accordance with CDC and social distancing guidelines face masks are required to be worn.
