Dixie Johnson


Dixie Johnson, 78, peacefully passed away just one week before her 79th birthday on Sunday, May 30th at 5:15 AM in Mesa, Arizona. Dixie was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on June 8th 1942.

She has gone home to Heaven to be with her parents Fred and Nellie Jaqua and four of her siblings.

She leaves behind her 2 siblings –Wesley Jaqua and wife Judy, Brother Jim and wife Jenn, her 3 children- Daughter Teresa and husband Nick, Daughter Laura and her Son Matthew and wife Gina. Dixie had 5 grandchildren – Christopher and wife Jessica, Nina and husband Phil, Anthony and wife Kelly, Nicole and fiancé Russell and Kenneth Wayne. She also leaves behind 6 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her 2 best friends from Grade School Cynthia Hansen and Loretta Hill.

Dixie loved her family tremendously and always put them first in her life. She also enjoyed traveling, country music, cooking, baking, and gardening. Her favorite color was purple and she loved amethyst crystal.

Dixie was baptized by her Pastor Ian Salsman in November of 2020.
