Debra Nunley-Burress, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home next to her husband and surrounded by family after a long battle with numerous health conditions.

She was 67 years old.

Debra Nunley-Burress was born in Chicago, Illinois, on September 26, 1955. She was the 3rd child and youngest daughter of Clayton and Karol (Vincent) Nunley. Members of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Debra graduated from Gallup High School class of 1973. Following graduation she attended nursing school at Gateway Community College graduating in 1982. When she was young, she used to take care of and patch up all of her stuffed animals and wouldn't let even a bug go without care. Her compassion and love for people lead her to her lifelong dream of being a nurse. In her adult life she helped heal many people with her kindness and ability to love so deeply. She also sang in a band and was a beautiful singer. She touched many lives with her voice, especially her children and grand children, singing them to sleep or just to lift their spirits.

One of her greatest accomplishments next to her career was raising her 4 children. They were her pride and joy. She later married the love of her life J. Charles Burress July 10, 1993, after meeting at a church dance. They fell in love and blended their families making a total of 7 children. They were later sealed in the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Temple in Mesa, AZ

This year marked their 29th year of marriage.

Debra enjoyed her life with Charles and loved her family very much and made sure they all knew it; always putting her arm around them and stating how special each one of them was in her eyes.
