Benjamin Reyes Tartaglia

The patriarch of our family, Benjamin "Bennie" Reyes Tartaglia of Dripping Springs, Arizona entered into heaven on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at the age of 83. After several years of declining health. Bennie passed peacefully with his beloved wife Lydia by his side. Bennie was born in McNary, Arizona on February 18, 1939, to father Louis Tartaglia and mother Teresa Reyes. Bennie was married to his loving wife Lydia G for 61 years. They had four daughters, Lydia, Isabel, Nancy (Jesse) and Cynthia (Chris). Along with 9 grandchildren, Ben , Anthony, Shantae, Steven, Christopher, Timothy, Lydia, Cyeana and Cyeara. He had 7 great grandchildren Zane, Alannah Grace, Heartlee, Tiana, Anthony, Archie and Sunnie. Bennie was one of 10 children: one surviving sister Kathy and brother Andy. Siblings preceded by Bennie are Manuel , Rita, Pete, Louie, Elena, Arturo, Joe. Bennie also had several in-laws, nephews, nieces, cousins and other family and friends, all whom he treated as extended family. Bennie worked in the grocery industry for a few years. His unwavering work ethics and desire to take care of his family led him to work in the copper mines as a diesel mechanic for 25 years. Bennie taught his family about Faith and Family First. His love for his grandchildren kept him strong and loved every football game, Train to Hunt, basketball, track meet, golf, softball game and soccer game. You would catch Bennie taking his family fishing and camping on his days off. He loved telling stories about growing up with his siblings and was known as "Tata" to many more than his own grandchildren. Bennie was a very hard working, God Fearing, hilarious and most of all, a loving man. Bennie will be honored in a memorial service/Celebration of Life planned for Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 11 a.m. Please join us at the Hayden Golf Club (624 Golf Course Rd, Hayden AZ 85135.) to say our farewells till we meet again.
