Norma Lara

Norma Lara was born in Tucumcari New Mexico to a family of 6 she was the 7th child of what became a family of 12 siblings. Norma chose a career in cosmetology and was an amazing hairdresser, almost every other week I (being her younger sister Teresa) had different colored/colors in my hair. I was kind of her walking billboard. Norma loved her nephews and nieces and great nephews and nieces. Norma was a true pioneer when it came to her religious beliefs, every chance she had she would speak to people about the bible, Norma became a second mother figure to my (Teresa) children and assisted in raising them to the best of her ability. Norma is survived by her sister Teresa Marez Carroll. Nephew Robert Angel Ortega, nieces Stephanie Andrea Lara, Amber Marie Lara plus 4 great nephews and 7 great nieces whom she loved dearly. We will all miss her and will carry you in our hearts but we know you are at peace without pain and suffering.

She was preceded in death by her mother Susan Marez and father Louis B.Marez and a nephew. Jaime Lara Jr. AKA Refugio Ortega Jr.
