David E Burgemeister

David E. Burgemeister passed away at Dobson Home, Hospice of the Valley in Chandler, AZ on March 20, 2020, after suffering from a heart attack on March 4, 2020. David was born in Albany, GA to Lois and LeRoy Burgemeister.

David proudly served in the United States Air Force as a Weapons Control Systems Mechanic and Senior Avionics Technician. After serving, he worked as an Electronics and Controls Engineer and Maintenance Technician in California and the Phoenix valley. David was a valuable employee at FUJI Film Electronic Materials in Mesa from 2008 until he retired in 2019.

After the military he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and formed many friendships through the motorcycle community. He also enjoyed baseball and motor sports.

When David met Kathryn in 2000, everything changed. They were married by "Elvis" in Las Vegas in 2004. He introduced her to Indycar racing, which to his surprise, she embraced. They enjoyed traveling and going to races together, and made many friends throughout the Indycar community.

He is survived by his wife Kathryn, his brother Alan (VikiLyn), sister Debbie (Willis) McConnell, sister Tammie (Chris Sr) Salazar, nephews Willis, Mark, Jason, Chris and Eli, nieces Tara and Trisha, and many great nieces and nephews.

When it is safe to do so, a Celebration of Life will be planned.
