Winona Maxine King

Winona Maxine (Barnett) King, 93, was born in Franklin, Texas, January 28, 1926. She passed into Glory February 28, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband Wallace G. King Sr., her parents Emmett and Lucille Barnett, and her grandson Bryan.

She graduated from Stephen F. Austin High school in 1944 and married the love of her life June 6th of the same year. A devoted daughter, sister, friend and wife but most important to Winona; was the role of a Mother and Grandmother.

She is survived by her four beautiful children Carolyn, Sheryl, Cynthia and Wallace Jr. She also has several grandchildren; Phillip, Jason, Elizabeth, Coral and Nicholas. She was a proud Great Grandmother of Anastasia and Kelly. Winona was a paradigm of love and everyone felt the effect of her open arms.

Services will be held on Friday, March 8th, 2019 at 2pm. Horizon Funeral Care is located at 7510 E.Mine St., Mesa, Arizona, 85207.
