Richard Craig Manning


Richard Craig Manning (66yrs), was born and raised in California. He recently resided at the Orchard Apartments in Mesa, AZ. He passed away on January 7, 2019 at the Phoenix VA Hospital after complications following cardiac arrest. Craig is survived by his mother Joan Syverson, his brother Steve Manning, and his sister Karen Manning.

Craig had many interests and hobbies during his lifetime. During his youth Craig was involved in coin collecting, raising and racing pigeons, was on the school swim team, and accumulated many trophies for his motorcycle racing throughout his teenage years. Craig served for four years in the Navy. After the Navy, Craig completed his bachelors degree in physical education and was a triathlon trainer for a time. He also worked in a California hospital rehabilitation department which he loved. When Craig moved to AZ, he opened a pool service business which he successfully operated for several years. Craig always loved to help people, and was known for being goofy, trying to get people to laugh. He had a big heart which he wore on his sleeve. Craig will be greatly missed.

Memorial services will be held at Horizon Funeral Care, 7510 E. Main Street, Mesa, AZ 85207 at noon on Thursday, January 10, 2019. Followed by a Veteran burial ceremony at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of AZ, 23029 Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024 at 2pm.
