Everto Celaya Medivil (Edward)

Everto Celaya Mendivil “Edward”

Our beloved father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend left us on June 20, 2018 to join his father, Jesus Mendivil, his mother Mary Celaya Mendivil, 2 brothers Robert and Al Mendivil, his son David Edward Mendivil, grandaughter Angel Alicia Mendivil, his great grandson Jacen Cain Lopez and his beautiful wife Alice Contreras Mendivil in God's final resting place.

Everto Celaya Mendivil known as Edward was born on February 18, 1933 in Mesa Arizona. He is survived by his children Debi, Greg, Steven Mendivil, and their spouses Ed Gonzales, Jenny Pence and Christine Mendivil, 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 8 great, great grandchildren and his two sisters Ophelia Hermosillo, Lottie Dominguez.

Edward C. Mendivil was a life long parishioner of Queen Of Peace and graduated from Mesa High School. He attended ASU and served as a Sergeant in Japan for the U.S. Army. He retired from Motorola in the 90’s and loved to spend the summer up on the Mogollon Rim where they would set up camp Mendivil for all to enjoy. It was a fishing and camping experience like no other.

His peace was in his yard work and garden after his beautiful, loving wife left for heaven.

He would want his family to remember him for his faith, compassion, unconditional love, laughter, encouragement and to love every moment as if it was your last.

Edward’s service will take place at 10AM on Friday, June 29th, 2018 in Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 141 N MacDonald, Mesa, AZ 85201.

His “Celebration of Life” will follow at the Madonna Hall next door.

Please come and share in Edward’s celebration of a wondrous man.
