On March 13, 2018 our beloved mother, Pia F. Erkan(Fressle), 73, of Mesa, AZ, formerly of Saddle Brook, NJ passed away surrounded by family. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 30,1944 to her parents Hermann and Maria. Her parents courageoulsy came from Germany in the 1930's. Pia grew up in Queens, NY where she fell in love and married Atila Erkan. They would then move to NJ to raise their family. Later in life they would relocate to Mesa, AZ.

Pia was widowed in 2011 after 43 years of marriage. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She is survived by her 4 children Suzan, Erol, Ayla, Denise and husband Peter, 4 grandchildren Sienna, Juliette, Lily, Luka, brothers Willie(Anne) and Walter(Mary), nieces, nephews, and her dog Max.

She loved spending her time with her family and was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, dancing, and going to the casino. She was always in your corner and truly helped each of us with love and support. She will be missed.

We imagine she is reunited in heaven with her love 'Baba', her parents, siblings, and nephews.
