Mark Allen Verbeck


Mark Allen Verbeck, 58, of La Habra, California, died suddenly on Friday, February 16, 2018, in Apache Junction, Arizona. His wife, Maria, and children were by his side. Mark was born November 6, 1959 in Monterey Park, California. He graduated from Lowell High School in 1978 and worked to pursue his dream of working with Ambulances. Mark married Christina Hruska in 1984 and together they had twins, James and Victoria. In 1991, Mark married Maria Schroeder to whom he remained married until the Lord called him home.

Mark worked for Emergency Vehicle Group, Inc. as an Inside Sales Coordinator in Anaheim, California and dedicated himself to his profession, his company, and his beloved customers.

A unique soul, Mark was very funny and enjoyed telling jokes to his family and friends, and delighted in his grandchildren telling jokes back to him. He was also an attentive listener who could be called upon to listen to any story or issue, regardless of importance. He will be immensely missed.

Mark is survived by his wife, Maria; his children, James and his partner Kelly, Victoria and her partner James; his parents, James and Marsha; his 8 grandchildren, Kennedy, Khloe, Evan, Kaylee, Madison, Christina, Kyleigh, and Kyle. Mark is also survived by his 4 brothers, Roderick of Orange and his wife, Margaret, Bruce and his wife, Renee, David and his wife, Colleen, both of Whittier, and Gerald and Angela of Livermore; and his 13 nieces and nephews; Courtney, Chloe, Brandon, Jill, Olivia, Alize, Emily, Katelyn, Lorenzo, Levi, Gavin, Zoey, and Lucas.

A celebration of life will be held at Cross Point Christian Church at 8155 Painter Ave, Whittier, California 90602 on March 10, 2018 at 10 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in Mark’s name to the American Diabetes Association http://www.diabetes.org/ or Dialysis Patients Citizens at http://www.dialysispatients.org/.
