Rose Bordon

Rose Marie Castelli Bordon was born in Carnegie, PA on June 5, 1928 to Angelo and Angelina Castelli. She passed away peacefully on June 28, 2017. She was a 1946 graduate of St. John's Catholic School, Benton Harbor and had been employed at Michigan Bell Telephone and Whirlpool Corporation. She married James Bordon on Nov. 27, 1954 and they built their home in Sodus, MI in 1955, where they lovingly raised 5 daughters. Long time members of St Bernard's Catholic Church, they retired and traveled the country in a motor home, finally settling in Pharr, TX for 23 years. After Jim's passing, Rose moved to Phoenix to be near her daughters. Family of Rose and Jim are Becky VanMeter and son Eric, Luann Weber with husband Tim and sons Christopher, Michael and Nicholas with wife Callie, Karen Bordon, Barb Bordon with children Matthew, Alana Rose and Julia, and Brigett Hoffman with husband Helmut and son Spencer. Rose is preceded in death by her husband James, daughter Becky, grandson Eric, and sister Giannina (Gene Lounsburry). There will be no service. Memorial donations can be made to Blossomland FOP 100, PO Box 302, Benton Harbor, MI 49023 for care of the Law Enforcement memorial in St Joseph.
