Maddy Kuhl


Maddy (Dalton) Kuhl, 86, died peacefully at her home on Nov 9,2015 in Gilbert, Arizona surrounded by her family, where she had lived the past 6 years.

Maddy was born on June 15,1929 to William (Bill) and Viola (McClintock) Dalton on a farm north of Laurel, Nebraska. She graduated from Laurel High School, Laurel, Nebraska in 1946. She had various jobs until her marriage to Harry Kuhl at St Mary's Church in Laurel, Nebraska on Nov 8,1952. In later years, she worked as a Real Estate agent and was a beautician for the last 10 years of her working days. She was very active at St Michael's church in So Sioux City, Nebraska and also liked to bowl and play golf. Maddy and Harry had six children.

Surviving family members are her husband Harry, children Kerry (Mick) McGinty of Gilbert, Dave (Donna) Kuhl of So Sioux City, Nebraska, Lori (Bob) McConchie of Gilbert, Barb (Denny) Pagel of Gilbert, Bob (Shelly) Kuhl of Shawnee, Kansas, Ellen (Jim) Heeney of Gilbert, 17 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, a brother, Bob (Mary) Dalton, Parker, Colorado, sister's in law Deb (Kuhl) Ankeny of Mission Viejo, California, Mary (Ward) Dalton Blair of Peoria, Arizona and Anita (Christensen) Kuhl of Laurel, Nebraska, Darlene Rose (Savage) of Kansas City, Kansas, brother in law Tom McCright of Norfolk, Nebraska and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Bill and Viola, brothers Don, Ken, Jim, Dusty and Mick and sister Marge (Dalton) McCright, sister's in law Dianne (Kuhl) Anderson, Norma Ann (Wharton) Dalton, Joyce Berle (Griess) Dalton, brother's in law Arnold (Ole) Anderson arid Lynn Kuhl, and great grand-daughter Faith Henshaw.

According to her wishes, she will be cremated. A family service will be held at her home in Gilbert and church services will be held in So Sioux City, Nebraska at St Michael's church at a later date with burial in St Michael's cemetery in So Sioux City, Nebraska.
