Larry "Larry Boy" Kendall Hanna
Larry “Larry Boy” Kendall Hanna took his final lap on this earth on December 11, 2022. Larry aged 66 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his adoring family. In 2003 Larry was diagnosed with a brain tumor that he fought like a champ for almost 20 years, when his body couldn’t fight any longer he returned to the arms of his loving mother and father who he missed every single day. If you are reading this obituary then you have a story to tell about Larry Boy. He was a big man, with huge hands and an even bigger heart. Larry was born in Salt Lake City on November 29,1956 the first of William A. Hanna and Arlene Robinson Hanna’s 8 children. Larry spent the majority of his life working as a brick mason working with Judd Jones and all of his many cowokers there. He was excellent at his work and often made tools and gadgets to get the job done. Judd could always count on Larry to get the job done wherever, whatever, and whenever it needed to be done. Larry loved his wife Rhonda of 38 years, his children, his grandchildren, and all of his nieces and nephews. Fishing with his family was heaven on earth for Larry. He loved cars, guns, chocolate, duct tape, bailing wire, spray paint, tools, and spending time tinkering on one of his many projects, but he loved nothing more than watching his children and grandchildren grow. He was THE proudest grandpa and father.
Larry boy could and did fix everything (even if it wasn’t broken), he will be missed more than all the bolts in his garage.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents “wild” Bill and Arlene Robinson Hanna, his brother Lane, his sister Lisa, and his brother Lyle. Larry is survived by his wife Rhonda Capps Hanna, his five children Joey Hanna (Jamie), Julie Hanna (Josh), Desi Williams (Shane), Danny Andrus, and Crystal Miller (Chris). Larry is also survived by his seven grandchildren Austin, Braxton, Jonah, Jayci, Julian, Kendyl, and Kailey who were the twinkle in his eye and true pride
and joy. A service will be held to honor Larry’s life in Salt Lake City on December 20, 2022 at the Calvary Chapel located at 460 W. Century Drive Salt Lake City, Utah 84123. There will be a viewing from 2pm-3pm followed by a service from 3-5pm. After the service family and friends may join the family at the Hanna farm for a meal in celebration of Larry’s life.
