Felipe Ramirez

Felipe Ramirez, 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday July 19th, 2020 in Mesa Az. Felipe was born on August 23rd, 1937 in Presidio TX.

He is survived by his loving wife Gloria Ramirez and seven children, Lorenzo (Sammy) Ramirez, Robert Ramirez, Nicolasa (Nickie) Hartwell, Elsie Ramirez, Felipe Ramirez, Vicente Ramirez, and Cecilia Ramirez. He had nineteen grandchildren and twenty-eight great grandchildren.

Felipe is Predeceased by his loving parents Manuel & Nicolasa Ramirez, & Stepmother Delores (Lola), Siblings Manuel Jr. (Nelo), Lucia, Julian, Juan, George, Justo (Tito), Jacob, and Baby Ramirez.

Felipe had an exceptionally large family and is also survived by his siblings, Hortencia, Elva, Jose, Jesusita (Jessie), Jovita, Jimmy, Josie, and Genevieve.

Felipe was a loving husband, son, father, brother, and tio.

He spent most of his years living in Az. where he worked mostly in the farming industry and later became employed with the City of Tempe school district where he later retired.

Everyone knew how much he loved dancing…those crazy cumbia moves that he had were one of a kind.

He loved being with family and attending big gatherings. He was one of the best cooks and always loved sharing those special recipes.

Felipe loved to sing. He always sang from the heart with lots of feeling.

He was also a song writer and recorded his songs on cassette tapes for many years.

In his younger days he was very much involved in his church and volunteered often.

He loved to fish just like his father.

He was a proud father. It showed in his voice as he spoke of them.

He also had an incredibly special place in his heart for all his grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Felipe will always be remembered for his love of life, his humor and his crazy jokes.

He is already missed by so many... Let us continue to keep him alive in our hearts always.

For safety reason at this time no public memorial service will be held till further notice.
