Therese Adeline Nickrent

Therese A. Nickrent passed away June 26, 2020 after a 4-year courageous battle with cancer. Terry was born in Bloomington, Illinois on December 15, 1954 to Robert H. and Agnes J. Walsh Nickrent. She was preceded in death by both of her parents.

Terry is survived by siblings, Dan Nickrent, Carbondale, IL, Julie (Del) Chilton, East Peoria, IL, Robert W. (Laura), Bloomington, IL. 6 nieces and nephews, Katy, Amy, Dustin, Matthew, Michael and Nate and 5 great nieces Taylor, Rylee, Ashlynn, Baylee and Maggie.

Terry was blessed by very special friends, Nancy and Dave, Darcy, Sandy, Jackie and Rob, Albert and Mark who were her by her side for many years and especially during her illness.

Terry graduated in 1973 from Central Catholic High School. She resided in the Phoenix, Arizona area for the last 47 years.

Terry worked at State Farm Insurance Company for 26 years. After retiring from State Farm she began working for The Hartford Insurance Company. In 2017 Terry retired from The Hartford and began working part time at First American Title until December of 2019.

Cremation rites were accorded. A celebration of Terry's life will occur at a later date, and her ashes will be spread at sea in Hawaii. Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Terry’s friends and family would like to thank the Staff at Hospice of the Valley, Eckstein Center; especially her special friends Irma, Terri and Ginny. The care and compassion she received during her stay was above and beyond and very much appreciated.
