Charles Thompson

On Tuesday Aug 13, 2019 Charles Elden Thompson Loving Husband and Father passed away at the age of 67 at his home in Superior Arizona. Charles was born on August 28, 1951 in Salem, Ohio. To Richard and Mary Virginia Thompson. Charles went to David Anderson Junior/Senior High School in Lisbon Ohio he was known as Pugsley, and was part of the Class of 1969. Charles served in the US NAVY as an engine mechanic from 1970-1972 when he received an honorable discharge as a proud E1 after his service in Vietnam. On December 21, 1984, he married Teresa Marie Rhoden. They spent 42 years together. They raised four sons Charles Eugene Thompson, Daniel Lee Thompson, Dustin Allen Thompson, and Kyle Aaron Thompson and one daughter Shannon Marie Thompson. Charles was a die hard Pittsburg Steelers fan and he was an avid veterans rights activist. He Loved the outdoors, watching thunderstorms, playing his guitar and spending time with his dogs Mr. Foxy Brown, Sissy and Blinky Marie. His main love was his family , however those who knew him knew his love for music. In 1993 he had became A Luthier and built a line of Thompson Guitars. Charles was preceded in death by his grandfather John Bethel Thompson, grandmother Olga Thompson, father Richard, his mother Mary Virginia Thompson, Brother Richard Lee Thompson and his Sister Jeanie Lin Hiner. He is survived by his wife Teresa Marie Thompson, his five children Charles, Daniel, Dustin, Shannon/Alex, Kyle. Four grandchildren Benjamin Aaron John Thompson, Rohen Erin Thompson, Alex Navarro 3 and Dax Curzon Navarro. Two brothers Harold Wayne Thompson/Melanie and James William Thompson/Elizabeth and sister Jackie Lou Hiner/Jim, And many nieces and nephews. Rest In that better place pops. Could have sworn you’d live forever, And we know that you knew how much all of us loved you. But we didn’t get a last time... We love you so much pops nobody could have asked for a cooler dad, And if you are watching down on all of us. We will ride the waves on our own just as you did and we all do. You were a great man and stayed strong in times that demanded you to pull through. With a house of five it had to be a battle but I’d like to think you won. And there’s five pieces of you around and that special piece in mom who you shared your life with. We are glad for everything dad. “When you lose the one you love, You think your world has ended.
