Karen Lott Thompson was born on January 1, 1945 in Ogden, Utah to James Vernile and Sadie Godfrey Lott.  She was lucky to be born with her identical twin, Sharon Clark.  Their older sisters  Annette Jardine and Linda Ravsten along with their younger brother, Stanley J. Karen went to Clarkston Elementary School, Smithfield Junior High and North Cache High School.

She was married and sealed for time and all eternity to her sweetheart Glen Norman Thompson on March 7, 1963 in the Logan Utah Temple.  Their love and devotion to each other has set an example for their family.  They started their family and lived in Logan UT, Los Alamos NM, Alamosa CO, Brigham City UT, Longmont, CO and Mesa, AZ.  They were blessed with eight wonderful children, two daughters and six sons.  She devoted her life to raising and caring for them.   She loved, Norm, her children, their spouses, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She loved to know what was going on in their lives, attend their special events and have pictures of them.  She always made each child, grandchild and great grandchild feel special on their birthdays and holidays.

Karen was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She served diligently in the Relief Society, Primary, Young Women and Scouting programs.  She spent many hours in compassionate service to others and truly enjoyed doing so.  Most recently she and Norm were able to work serve in the Gilbert, AZ temple.

She is preceded in death by parents, Vernile and Sadie Lott and her brother Stanley J. Lott.
